Work calendar 2022 for Santiago

We inform you in this brief entry of the 2022 working calendar for Santiago. 

The working calendar for 2022 includes eight national public holidays in addition to four regional public holidays and two local public holidays, which are established by the local councils. In this way, the working calendar of each municipality accumulates a total of 14 public holidays in 2022.

Local public holidays in Santiago de Compostela

As we pointed out, we must remember that each city council chooses its own two local days. In the case of Santiago de Compostela the feast day of San Roque and Ascension. Therefore, in Santiago, Thursday 26th May and Tuesday 16th August.

Public holidays in Galicia in 2022

In Galicia, the working calendar for 2022 will have the Galician Letters and Saint John's Day as public holidays, while also maintaining January 6th  (Epiphany) and Maundy Thursday. This was published in the DOG nº 128, which published Decree 97/2021, of 10 June, determining the public holidays in the Autonomous Community of Galicia for the 2022 working calendar.

• Tuesday 17 May (Day of Galician Letters)
• Friday 24 June (St Juan Day)
• Lunes 25 de julio (Santiago Apostle)
